In this workshop, Susan will go beyond technique to find what is the true subject of a painting and the options for expressing it. Participants will explore how to use composition, color, exaggeration, value, brushstrokes, cropping, and other techniques to express their inspiration in a series of paintings. You will learn to harness the unique qualities and power of watercolor using transparency, unpredictability, juicy flows, lost edges, and white of the paper. Additionally, you will learn to more fully enjoy the creative process (drawing, value study, color selection) once your goal is clearer.
Cost for this workshop is $175 for Western Colorado Watercolor Society and Brush and Palette Club members, and $210 for non-members. Send your check to: B&P, Box 3632, Grand Junction, CO 81502 to register. For more information email: firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com to sign up.
