Dan Loge is an oil painter who has been creating most of his life. He finds painting both frustrating and satisfying as he searches for truth through paint on canvas. As an artist, his goal is to pay attention to his subject matter in natur, and to be honest when searching out those truths. As a teacher, he may see a student apply color, or apply a brush stroke in a way that is different from how he would paint, but he admits that there are many ways to express oneself with paint. Dan graduated from the Spectrum Institute for the Advertising Arts in Belle Mead, NJ, attended Sheridan College in Canada for computer animation, and is now a full-time oil painter of wildlife and landscapes. His work can be seen in galleries in Colorado, Kansas, Wyoming, Utah and Boston, MA. He has been published in Ducks Unlimited Magazine, Wildfowl Art Magazine, Grand Valley Magazine, and has had numerous one-man shows.
